The Ice-Catcher is fixed to the Tuning-File handle. After the edge has been sharpened, it takes only one pass with the Ice-Catcher under the binding area to ensure a longerlasting and even sharper edge. The pressure applied by the Ice-Catcher creates a cold worked (hardened) flat on the side edge and a small lip underneath.1)

The secret of manoeuverability and steering precision of skis and snowboards is a polished base edge, without rust, marking or too many scratches.
Long diamond files (150 x 20 mm) (6 '' x 3/4 '') and the Race bevel file are inserted into our file-guides where they can slide freely giving uniform wear over the entire surface of the diamond. Without freely sliding, wear appears in grooves with the undesirable effect of rounding the edge
